Preparation for NEBRASKAland Days concerts enter home strech

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Volunteers spent their Thursday working hard to build the stage for this weekend's NEBRASKAland Days concerts.

The stage is shipped in by a company from Omaha and this year there are approximately 40 volunteers assembling it. One volunteer, Donnie Trisdale, said they began working at 8 a.m.

Trisdale has been helping build the stage for nearly a decade. He loves coming back year after year.

"The first year I started doing this," Trisdale said, "(I didn't) actually realize how much little stuff goes in to putting these things together. (For example,) you're changing fences out (and) moving stuff (turning) it from a rodeo arena to a concert venue."

The NEBRASKAland Days Executive Director, David Fudge, said there is still time for people to buy concert tickets.
