CHEYENNE, Wyo. (by Release / KNEP) - Authorities in Wyoming are investigating the deaths of two people found in the remnants of a burned home south of Cheyenne.

According to a release from the Laramie County Sheriff's department, deputies were called to 6300 Browning around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday morning to a report of a structure fire.

Capt. Linda Gesell says investigators were able to make an initial determination of one deceased person in the home, but were prevented from searching the structure further due to safety concerns. Gesell says after the situation stabilized later in the morning, a second body was discovered in the remnants of the house.

Arson investigators are at the scene attempting to determine the cause of the fire.
