NORTH PLATTE, Neb. -- Tuesday morning will bring the coldest temperatures of the week with wind chills as low as -30°. The wind chill advisory stays in effect until noon on Tuesday. Dangerous cold like this means frostbite and hypothermia can occur in under half an hour, so bundle up and stay safe!
Because of the weather, some businesses, churches and schools have already announced closings or late starts Tuesday. You can view that list here.
Fortunately, the cold blast won't be as stubborn this time around and we will see a warming trend through the week. Mild weather will be with us by mid week and above average temperatures make a return toward end the week. Sunny skies will prevail through the work week. Our next shot at precipitation comes over the weekend along with seasonal to slightly below average temperatures.
