"I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" set to hit NPCP stage

North Platte, Neb. -- "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change", It's North Platte Community Playhouse's last production of the 2016-17 season.

"It's just one of those shows that takes you through such a wide range of emotions" Tia Sanmiguel, an actress in the play said.

It's a show everyone can relate to.

"Everyone has had a relationship. This show is great for the single person, all the way to the people who have been married for 50 years," Sanmiguel said.

Throughout the production, the audience will see different acts on the modern relationship.

"It's essentially about love, and about relationships, intimate ones specifically," Sanmiguel said.

"It shows the ins and outs of relationships, dating relationships, all the way up to old age," Bonnie Nelson, an actress in the play said.

The musical features 9 actors, each playing multiple roles.

"Every scene, is a different set of characters, I'm in numerous scenes and numerous characters," Sanmiguel said.

From marriage to first dates the show covers it all.

Those in the production say it's perfect for a date night, guaranteed to make you laugh.

"It's basically everything you normally go through in a relationship and taking it to a comedic level" Sanmiguel explained.

Opening night is Friday, April 21st.

"You'll have plenty of chances to come see it and maybe come see it again," Nelson said.

It is considered a PG-13 production.

Ticket sales begin Monday, April 17. Tickets can be purchased on the NPCP website, www.northplattecommunityplayhouse.com, at the Box Office (301 E. 5th)

Monday-Friday from Noon-5:00 p.m., or at the door prior to each performance.

Performances will be held April 21, 22, 23 and 28, 29, 30 with Friday and Saturday shows starting and 8:00 p.m. and Sunday matinees beginning at 2:00 p.m.

The show is directed by Scott Carlson with Music Director Lori Swanson.
