NORTH PLATTE. Neb -- The addition of the new security system at the Lincoln County Courthouse cleared another hurtle on Monday.

County commissioners received a bid by G4S Secure Solutions for the new security system at the county courthouse.

The company is based out of Omaha and they were the only company to bid on the security contract.

The bid is for $90,000 a year. It will cost around $7,500 a month. The bid includes two security personnel, one armed, the other unarmed.

"Once the bid is accepted we'll, as a committee, present that to the commissioners and they'll decide whether to move forward with this company or not," said Lincoln County Sheriff Jerome Kramer.

The bid will be fully reviewed before a decision is made. Sheriff Kramer says the system could be in place by the spring or summer.
