NPHS placed in lockdown to remove disruptive student

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) North Platte High School was placed in lock down Wednesday morning.

Associate Superintendent, Dr. Tami Eshleman, says during 2nd period, a student refused to leave classroom.

The school resource officer went to the classroom to help the teacher.
That's when the school was placed in 45 minute lock-down for the safety and wellness of the student body.

Eshleman says the disruptive student was removed from the building without incident. Eeshleman says no one was in danger, and all students are safe and secure.
