No injuries in rollover accident on I-80

MAXWELL, Neb. (KNOP) - A man is lucky to be alive after his vehicle rolled on I-80. It happened Monday morning around 8 a.m., near mile marker 191 near Maxwell.

The Nebraska State Patrol said the driver of a red pickup was trying to pass a semi when he blew a tire. That's when he over corrected and rolled his vehicle into the median.

Maxwell Fire and Rescue responded, but neither driver had injuries, "I'm glad they were all wearing their seat belts. I think by the looks and damage on the pickup had he not been wearing his seat belt, we would be going to the hospital right now." Sergeant Bob Veal said.

Sergeant Veal said the pickup is totaled and the semi has some damage to the frame work and rear tires.
