The purpose of a SNOW ALERT is to give people more advance warning to move their cars from snow routes before conditions require us to activate the SNOW EMERGENCY.

Meteorologists say snow will continue tonight and North Platte could see two inches. Wind chills readings will be -10 to a -15 Saturday and Sunday morning.
