Pancake feed in North Platte supports girl scouts travel program

NORTH PLATTE. Neb -- It's a program that lets Girl Scouts in the country spend 2 weeks in a different state and immerse themselves in the culture.

On Saturday, a pancake feed was held in North Platte to help fund the Destinations Program.

Pancakes were donated by the Lincoln County Dinner. The rest of the supplies were donated by the North Platte Community Advisory Board.

All the funding goes to provide financial assistance for a girl in Nebraska to take part in the program.

Helping staff the fundraiser were girl scouts visiting the state as part of their program. They were up bright and early to help pay it forward for another follow scout.

Last year's pancake feed raised around seven hundred dollars.
