Sears Reopens Under New Ownership

NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-- After a change of ownership and location, Sears is now back open for business.

The new store has increased their square footage from 6000 to 9000.

The extra space is being used to add an expanded bed area, more styles of refrigerators, storage sheds and tool selection.

More employees are expected to be hired at the new store.

"The exciting thing about having a Sears Hometown store in North Platte is that we involve the community, we get them in here. We have a great location for them to come to. It's a very convenient access to the interstate and highway 83," says Mary Studley, co-owner of Sears Hometown.

Sears will now stay open later. Store hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday's Noon to 5 p.m.

Sears will be hosting a grand opening ceremony Saturday, November 11th, 2017.
