GERING, Neb. (KNEP) - A 2018 pre-trial hearing has been set in the case of a teenage boy accused of attempting to sexually assault a Gering High School staff member in November.

The teen appeared in Scotts Bluff County Juvenile Court Wednesday afternoon for juvenile charges of attempted first degree sexual assault, use of a weapon during a felony and terroristic threats. Judge Jamie Worden accepted a denial pleading to the charges.

A public defender is representing the teen in the case, and a guardian ad-litem was also appointed by Judge Worden. Pre-trial conference in the case was tentatively set to take place during the last week of January.
