Western Nebraska tourist attractions awarded marketing money

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Nebraska Tourism Commission Thursday is giving grant dollars totaling $271,656.42 in the first cycle of the Directed Tourism Marketing Grant Program.

“This round of grant funding provides marketing assistance grants to communities and organizations, directing the funds towards innovative opportunities in digital marketing programs, social media promotions, video production and print advertising – providing an affordable way for communities to tie into the Commission’s major campaign efforts while increasing overall impact,” said Commission executive director John Ricks.

Awardees under this cycle are:
• $5,850 to The Crane Trust for print advertising, digital and social media promotions
• $9,000 to Visit Omaha for digital and print promotions
• $5,080.50 to The Willa Cather Foundation for social media marketing, digital promotions and video production
• $11,016.67 to the McCook/Red Willow County Visitors Bureau for print advertising, social media marketing, and digital promotions
• $5,433.75 to Keith County Visitors Committee for print advertising
• $6,600 to the Nebraska Association of Bed & Breakfasts for print advertising and digital promotions
• $20,350 to Brownville’s River Inn Resort for digital promotions, print advertising, and social media marketing
• $9,637.50 to Grand Island/Hall County Visitors Bureau for digital promotions, print advertising and social media marketing
• $1,500 to Boys Town for social media marketing
• $2,500 to the Lincoln Children’s Zoo for digital promotions
