CENTRAL NEBRASKA – Interstate 80 eastbound between Giltner and Aurora was closed for a period of time on Wednesday after a semi carrying potatoes crashed into an overpass.
Potatoes covered the road, closing eastbound lanes until roughly 4 p.m.
According to the Nebraska State Patrol Troop C Twitter account, the truck struck the overpass of South K Road.
The driver was uninjured, and was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Traffic is now flowing normally.
