Braised Pork Chops with Southern Style Stew



Ingredients

6 pork chops
roma tomatoes
green peppers
onions
sugar
brown sugar
garlic
butter - 2-3 sticks
Louisiana hot sauce
salt
pepper
white rice
parsley
flour
white wine

Directions

Braise pork chops add flour, salt, pepper then saute and set aside. In a sauce pan melt the butter, add onions and let them cook a few minutes, add tomatoes, sugar, brown sugar, salt and pepper (fresh ground), add white wine and hot sauce, stir and let cook a few minutes. Add green peppers and mix them in. In a large pan, place some of the mixture to cover the bottom of the pan. Add the pork chops and cover with the remaining amount of the mixture. Place in the oven and cook at 350 for a minimum of 40 up to 90 minutes. Fix the white rice, cook then add some butter and parsley and fluff. Place rice on plate, add pork chop and drizzle some of the mixture on top. Enjoy!
