Families gathered for a night full of fishing Monday.

This is the second time the Nebraska Game and Parks hosted Family Fishing Night at Iron Horse Lake.

It's a free event where young and old can practice the old hobby or try the sport out for the first time.

"Well this is a great opportunity for families to learn how to fish. We provide the poles, bait and fishing instruction for first time fish anglers," said Tara Anderson, Nebraska Game And Parks.

"The funnest part was I used my skills and I was throwing it and make sure nobody was behind me and then I waited very patiently. I tried and then I caught one," said Sage Stockton, First Time Fishing.

"It was really cute, his eyes," said Matthew Woodward, First Time Fishing.

Another family fish night will be held at Iron Horse Park Wednesday August 10th.
