The 33rd habitat for humanity home was dedicated Friday afternoon in North Platte.
Jody and Tim Hudson received the keys to their new home in front of friends and family.
The Hudsons and their two children, ages 3 and 11 months, also received homemade quilts, a bible, a gift certificate for the Do-It Center, and fresh meat from Senator Tom Hansen on behalf of the Lincoln County Cattlemen.
The house is located on the northwest side of town at 2418 W. 15th Street.
“It means a lot, a lot of people put a lot of hours in all summer long,” says Tim Hudson.
“We're thankful for all the volunteers, and especially our family,” adds Jody Hudson. “They put in a lot of time and hours babysitting and helping us build our house. This is our first house so we're excited and emotional.”
Wells Fargo donated $15,000 as a sponsor of the house.
In the past 10 years, the bank has given over a quarter of a million dollars to the North Platte Area Habitat for Humanity.
