The Super Bowl buzz continues in Greater Nebraska.
It’s not about Danny Woodhead this time.
Now, it's a commercial.
Will Ferrell made a SuperBowl ad that only aired in Nebraska.
The "Old Milwaukee" beer commercial aired on KNOP-TV Sunday night, the only TV station in the country to carry the ad.
Now the commercial is on Youtube and Twitter, with folks all over the country talking about it.
KNOP-TV's General Manager, Lewys Carlini, says the agency chose to air the commercial in one small market hoping the video would go viral.
“I found it interesting and odd that they would pick KNOP in North Platte, the second smallest market in the nation for the spot to run and that's all that ran...hitting the hopes that it would go viral and apparently it did,” says Carlini.
Carlini has received calls about the commercial from Time Magazine, Deadspin.com, the Lincoln Journal Star, as well as other media outlets.
Farrell, who is said to have a passion for Old Milwaukee, has also starred in similar commercials in the past that have aired in the Mid-West.
