Sentenced To 10-20 Years In Prison
A North Platte man is going to prison for several years after he raped a 15-year old girl.
22-year old James Hobbs the third was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in prison by Lincoln County District Judge Donald Rowlands.
The victim says Hobbs raped her at two different locations on October 22nd of 2011.
Hobbs apologized to the family and told the court that he messed up and that he will take steps to improve himself.
Lincoln County Attorney Rebecca Harling told Judge Rowlands Hobbs committed the crime while he was on probation for having sex with and underage girl in Red Willow County.
Hobbs met the victim on an internet chat line.
When Judge Rowlands sentenced Hobbs he says this type of incident is happening too often in North Platte.
He encourages parents to monitor the websites their children are visiting.

Manary Gets 4 to12 Years In Prison
A North Platte man will also be going to prison for his role in the death of North Platte woman.
41-year old Jeffrey Manary was found guilty of attempted distribution of meth and distribution of oxycontin.
Lincoln county District Judge Donald Rowlands sentenced Manary to four to 12 years in prison.
Last August, Manary sold meth to Ester Smith.
Smith died after she overdosed on the meth.
Manary also sold oxycontin to an undercover officer last April.
In sentencing Manary Judge Rowland pointed to Manary's extensive prior criminal record

Houpt Sentenced To 2 To Six Years In Prison
Drug charges land a North Platte man in the Nebraska penitentiary.
38-year- old Mark Houpt was sentenced to two to six years in prison by District Judge Donald Rowlands.
Houpt was found guilty of attempted distribution of meth as part of a plea bargain.
Houpt is accused of selling meth to an undercover informant in March of Last year.
Houpt has a criminal record that goes back 25-years.

Polanco Sentenced to 1 1/2 To 3 Years In Prison
Drugs charges lead to another man being sentenced to prison.
27-year -old Joshua Polanco was sentenced to 1 ½ to 3 years in prison by Lincoln County District Judge Richard Birch.
Polanco was found guilty of attempted distribution of cocaine.
He was originally charged with distribution of cocaine after he is accused of selling cocaine to an undercover informant in March 8th 2011.

Kristen Lehn Gets County Jail Sentence
A North Platte woman who was operating a meth lab in her home with her husband was sentenced to 270 days in the Lincoln County Jail.
35-year Kristen Lehn was found guilty of possession of meth and felony child abuse.
Police says Lehn and her husband 35-year old Zane Lehn had the ingredients for a meth lab in their home on North Miles Avenue.
Two elementary aged children were living in the home at the time.
Lehn husband Zane was sentenced to prison earlier this month.
District Judge Rowlands sentenced Kristen Lehn to a lesser sentenced because he says Zane Lehn was the main person responsible for the crime and that Kristen was primarily an accessory to the crime.

Martinez Pleds Not Guilty To Sexual Assault
A North Platte man says he did not rape a girl at the Sutherland Reservoir earlier this summer.
19-year- old Juan Martinez pled not guilty to 1st degree sexual assault, two counts of 3rd degree assault, and terroristic threats.
Lincoln County District Judge Richard Birch set Martinez's trial for October 9th.
Martinez allegedly followed a girl into a public restroom at Hershey beach and raped her last May.
The victim got away from Martinez and escaped to a campsite she was staying.
Martinez and 29-year old Clemente Carrizales allegedly showed up at the campsite and tried to grab the girl.
The pair is accused of assaulting another boy who tried to protect the girl
