Allegations Of Domestic Abuse
A Brady man was jailed Sunday night after he threatened his girlfriend with several firearms.
Sheriff Jerome Kramer says his deputies had reports that 31-year-old Jessy Ellison was drunk when he assaulted and threated his girlfriend with guns
The victim said Ellison physically assaulted her.
She said Ellison pointed firearms at her and shot them into the air.
The victim tried to call 911 but Mr. Ellison broke her phone.
She says her daughter was eventually able to call for help.
Kramer says Ellison was hiding in a field north of the home.
He was convinced, by phone, to turn himself in.
Deputies did find a pistol and two rifles in Ellison's possession.
He faces charges of Terroristic Threats, Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony and Third Degree Assault Domestic Violence.
VanHorn Sentenced to 8-15 Years In Prison
A North Platte man will be spending the next several years in prison after he threated a woman with a gun in an elevator.
65-year old Steve VanHorn was sentenced to three to five years for false imprisonment and 5 to 10 years for use of a weapon to commit a felony.
Lincoln County District Judge Richard Birch ordered the sentences to be served consecutively which means he will get 8 to 15 years in prison.
VanHorn is accused of pointing a gun in the stomach of an elderly woman in at Buffalo Bill manor in September 2011.
The victim claims VanHorn tried to fire the weapon but it didn't fire.
Judge Birch says there is evidence VanHorn did not pull the trigger at any point in the altercation but he told VanHorn it was an incredibly dangerous thing to do.
Steeby Gets 1 1/2-3 Years In Prison
A North Platte woman who sold meth to an undercover police informant was sentenced to prison.
48-year-old Pamela Steeby was sentenced to one a half to three years in prison by Lincoln County District Judge Donald Rowlands.
Steeby sold meth to a police informant August 17th.
Steeby told the judge she cleaned up her life.
However Judge Rowalnds pointed to Steeby's criminal record in sentencing her to prison
Horn Gets 1-3 Years In Prison
A North Platte woman was sentenced to prison after she was convicted of drug charges.
32-year-old Elisha Horn was found guilty of possession of meth.
Monday, Horn was sentenced to 1 to three years in prison by Lincoln County District Judge Richard Birch.
Horn was arrested in July after police served a search warrant on her home on West 9th Street.
Police seized prescription drugs and a light bulb with suspected meth residue.
Steier Pleads Not Guilty To Attempted Robbery
A Wyoming man who tried to rob a Wallace bank is arraigned in Lincoln County Court.
20-year-old Drew Steier pled not guilty to attempted robbery.
Lincoln County District Judge Donald Rowlands set a status hearing for November 5th.
Steier is accused of trying to rob the Farmer's State Bank in Wallace.
Police say Steier went into the bank wearing a black ski mask demanding money.
He ended up leaving the bank without any money.
Steier and his accomplice 52-year-old Tracey Black were apprehended in Imperial
Vieyra Pleads No Contest To Drug Charges
A former North Platte firefighter makes a plea deal in Lincoln County District Court.
33-year-old Aaron Vieyra pled guilty to two counts of attempted distribution of cocaine.
District Judge Donald Rowlands set Vieyra's sentencing for December 3rd.
Police say Vieyra sold cocaine to undercover informants on two different occasions on February 19th and March 11th of 2011.
