Staff at Linden Estates spiced things up with their 2nd annual Chili Cook-off.

The cook-off is a way to liven up the sometimes boring winter months.

“We have selected staff members that each cooked a big pot of chili and then the kitchen of course made their own recipe of chili so then we though well, it would be even more fun to have guest judges this year. We had a few guest judges last year but this year we have all guest judges,” says Kathy Brown, PR Coordinator, the Lindens.

The judges included our very own taste tester, KNOP's Tom Clements... George Lewis from the North Platte Fire Department, Mayor Dwight Livingston, Sandy Edwards from Coldwell Banker and Diane Wetzel from the Telegraph.

"Betty" won the cook-off with a traditional chili with secret spices.
