Prairie Fire use eight-run second to beat Sensation

The Prairie Fire scored 13 runs in the first two innings en route to a 16-0 win

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Prairie Fire 18 and under softball team played the Sensations 14 and under softball team Tuesday night in North Platte.

The Prairie Fire started the scoring early, with five runs crossing the plate in the first inning, highlighted by Shelby Yoshida’s RBI double. In the second, the Prairie Fire bats continued to find the ball, as Tahjzah Botts knocked a three run home run to deep left field. The next two batters reached base, and Madison Beachel drove them home with a two-RBI double. Yoshida then delivered a two-run blast to make the score 13-0 in the second.

The Prairie Fire maintained control of the game from there, scoring three more runs to win 16-0.
