Lexington seniors put on offensive show against Hershland
The Pinnacle Bank seniors score 33 runs in two games
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Hershland juniors hosted the Lexington seniors Thursday night for two games.
The Trojans got on the board first in the first game, with Kobe Florom delivering a bases loaded, two RBI hit in the first inning. However, Lexington quickly took control, scoring seven runs in the third inning. The Pinnacle Bank seniors added to their score in the fourth and fifth innings, scoring 12 and five runs, respectively, to win the game 24-2 in five innings.
Jackson Konrad struck out six Trojan batters in three innings pitched, and drove in three runs at the plate. Cameron Maaske had four hits and drove in six runs for Lexington.
Game two started in the Trojans’ favor as well. The team scored three runs in the first inning, and held an 8-4 lead going into the sixth. However, Lexington scored five runs in the sixth inning to take the lead, and win the game 9-8.
Hershland’s final games of the season will be on Sunday, July 19, hosting Elwood. Lexington continues its season hosting Norfolk for a doubleheader on Saturday, July 18.
