NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) -

After being postponed in March due to COVID-19, the St. Paddy’s Day Beatdown has rescheduled for a new date.

The fights will take place outdoors at Wild West Arena on Thursday, August 20th, starting at 7:30 P.M.

Tickets for the event are available at Jone’s Law Office and previously purchased tickets will be honored for the event. The fighters themselves will have to take COVID-19 tests a week prior and have results comeback negative in order to participate in the fight.

“Everyone has to have a COVID test negative at least one week before. So the 14th they’re going to have to start testing and it’s going to have to be negative or they don’t fight. There will be temperature checks, there will be masks for people around the cage. Whatever rules the Nebraska Commission have, that’s what we’re going to follow,” said Russ Jones.
