NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The main weather concerns this evening are for storms coming off the High Plains. Storm will push east through the Panhandle early in the evening with a few scattered to isolated storms continuing to march into Southwest Nebraska. Instability is marginal but plenty of low level moisture is in place to keep storms going. The best chances for severe weather appear to from Eastern Wyoming into the Central Panhandle where damaging winds and large hail are a threat. A few isolated storms could remain strong later in th evening but with their slow movement heavy rain may become the main threat into the Sandhills later tonight.

Wednesday’s weather will be determined by by how tonigh’ts storms play out . The morning may start with some residual cloudiness, which will dissipate allowing sunshine and breezy southeast winds to push temperatures into the upper 80s and lower 90s. There will be chances for late afternoon and evening thunderstorms, but location and severity remain in question. The heat and humidity build back in as the week progresses with widespread 90s. And as has been the trend, each day will have at least a small chance of thunderstorms.
