North Platte offense explodes in game one win over Lexington
Nationals score for 16-runs and backup Gus Kreber's solid pitching performance
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) -
The North Platte Legion team exploded for 16 runs in the first game of their doubleheader against Lexington on Wednesday night. The Nationals had a 7-0 lead entering the top of the sixth inning and added nine runs to their score, by ripping base hit after base hit.
Gus Kreber pitched four innings, allowing just two hits in the winning effort.
In game two, the Nationals led 10-0, but the game was called by the umpires in the fourth inning. In a message, head coach Andy Butler said he was unsure what the official ruling was of the game.
