North Platte plays final two games of the season Friday

The Nationals defeated Scottsbluff, and lost to Cheyenne Post 6.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The North Platte FNBO were in Scottsbluff on Friday, playing the Westco Zephyrs and Cheyenne Post 6 for the Nationals’ final two games of 2020.

In game one against the Zephyrs, the Nationals scored seven runs in the first three innings, and cruised to a 9-0 win in five innings. Tate Janas allowed three hits, and struck out four batters in five shut-out innings.

Janas added two RBI at the plate, which was tied for the team lead with Jeremiah Seamann.

In game two, the Nationals trailed 2-1 going into the sixth inning, but allowed Cheyenne Post 6 to score six runs in the sixth, and lost 8-1.

The Nationals finish their season with a 29-13 record.
