NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Monday brought us relief from the heat, but it won’t be lasting much longer. Tuesday temperatures will begin to warm back up to the 90s with a warm front moving through in the evening. Multiple waves aloft will move through the area increasing our chances for thunderstorms the rest of the week. Our SPC outlook for Tuesday puts us in the marginal risk category with parts of the panhandle having a slight risk.

Tuesday’s storms will move from far western Nebraska into the Sandhills region. With this movement, we could see some isolated strong to severe storms that could contain large hail and damaging winds.

Wednesday, temperatures will soar back into the lower and mid 90s across the state with mostly sunny skies. These warmer temperatures will continue through Saturday with isolated thunderstorms being possible in the evenings. A cold front will move through bringing us cooler temperatures to end our weekend.
