NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A cold front pushing through the region will bring pleasant conditions to the North Platte area as we begin the weekend.

Clear skies and comfortable temperatures expected Friday night into Saturday morning...with the day beginning in he mid 50s. Plenty of sunshine will warm us into the mid 80s Saturday afternoon...but we will need to add a shower-and-thunderstorm chance to the late-afternoon and evening as some low-level moisture and warmer mid-level temperatures return. Mostly sunny skies should dominate our Sunday...with high temperatures returning to the upper 80s.

Seasonably warm weather will linger for much of next week with highs averaging in the upper 80s-to-low 90s each day. Isolated thunderstorm chances are about the best we can hope for...with late-Tuesday and into Tuesday night looking like the “best” chance for rain right now...but even that is far from a “done deal”. We’ll hope things change as we get into next week as the area could sure use some moisture.
