MPCC Stampede is Sept. 17-19

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Mid-Plains Community College Stampede will continue as planned Sept. 17-19. Events are scheduled to start at 7 p.m each night at the Wild West Arena.

The Stampede is sanctioned by the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, and is a qualifying rodeo, meaning points contestants earn count towards a shot at nationals.

The rodeo is open to the public, however masks and social distancing will be required.

Admission is $10 each night, or $20 for all three nights, tickets can be purchased at the gate. Children ten and under are free, as are MPCC students and employees with college ID.

Concessions will be provided by The Wranglers, the booster committee of the MPCC rodeo team. The Wranglers will also be selling team merchandise.

The rodeo will be live-streamed on the college’s YouTube channel, and on the athletics website.
