NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Mother nature decided to turn the thermostat up this weekend bringing 80-degree weather back to us. This pattern will continue to start our work week as well with temperatures in the upper 80s with sunny skies to conjoin with it. Monday severe drought conditions remain with humidity values reaching the teens... this will elevate our risk for fire concerns. These concerns certainly plan to continue throughout the entire week.

A nearly perfect mid-September weather pattern will bring abundant sunshine and warmer temperatures, especially toward the middle part of the week as temperatures make a run approaching the 90-degree mark. A cold front will swipe through the region Thursday into Friday which, for now, doesn’t appear to alter our weather all that much, only knocking temperatures back into the lower 80s. This front will bring limited amounts of moisture with it. The entire week looks VERY dry.

Above average temperatures remain through this week.
