NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The 36th annual Indian Summer Rendezvous is continuing its three day celebration throughout the weekend. There is live music, contests, food vendors and more. The Keith County committee has worked countless hours to make sure the event could take place. Organizers are encouraging masks and sanitizing spray.

This year’s focus is family. Organizers said they felt they needed to show Ogallala they care.

“We wanted to have this happen because we wanted the community to start feeling some happiness, you know it seems like the world is so angry that we’re hoping that this can just be a time that we’re back together as a community,” said Executive Director of Keith County Chamber, Karla Scott.

And a big announcement, “Big Give Keith County” day is focusing on building the community. A 24-hour fundraiser is to encourage community donations with chamber-matched funds. Beginning next year on June 12.
