NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - After overnight lows fell into the low and mid-30s across the coverage area, by afternoon, we should see a nice warm up as temperatures rebound into the upper 70s and low 80s across western Nebraska - thanks in part to winds turning more to a dry and mild westerly flow at 8 to 18 MPH with some gusts as high as 30 MPH possible. Mainly sunny skies are expected - though skies could be hazy at times as wildfires in southern Wyoming and northern Colorado continue to burn.

Warmer weather expected on Tuesday with temperatures climbing back to the upper 70s to low 80s.

After Tuesday, temperatures are expected to be a bit up and down through the remainder of the week with highs in the 60s and 70s. Overnight and morning low temperatures will likely stay on the chilly side for most of the week as lows will range anywhere from the upper 20s to lower 40s through the week with the coldest night likely coming Thursday night and into Friday morning. Mainly dry weather is expected through the weekend.
