Finishing September With Average Temperatures
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - After a chilly start to Tuesday, it ended up being a pretty nice day across the coverage area. The same cannot quite be said as we head into the day on Wednesday as another cold front moving through the state will lead to breezy conditions and falling temperatures. Wednesday should see more sunshine with breezy northwest winds at 15 to 20 MPH with gusts as high as 30 to 40 MPH possible.
Temperatures will range from the 60s for the northern parts of the state, to the low and mid 70s further to the south.

Wednesday night into Thursday morning will be another chilly night with lows in the upper 30s. Thursday will then be sunny and cool behind the front with highs only reaching the upper 50s to low 60s. Another cold night is then expected Thursday night into Friday morning as lows will bottom out in the upper 20s to low 30s for most of western Nebraska.
The weekend will continue to see temperatures in the 60s with another chilly night Saturday night where we could see some frost develop into Sunday morning... A warm up is expected for Monday and Tuesday with upper 70s and lower 80s respectively. Sweatshirts will be worn this week, but can be put away to start the work week.
