Warmer Temperatures on Friday... Cool Weekend Ahead

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - It was another VERY cold start to our day this morning temperatures dropped down to 30 degrees in North Platte. The forecast for Friday into the weekend is a pretty uneventful one as dry weather with temperatures in the upper 60s to low to mid 70s are expected to go along with plenty of sunshine.

Temperatures by Friday afternoon should warm into the upper 60s to upper 70s across western Nebraska with sunny skies and light south winds - all in all, a pretty nice day.

The weekend looks nice as well with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s for both Saturday and Sunday to go along with sunny skies and mainly dry weather. Saturday may be a bit breezy at times as winds turn to the northwest behind a weak disturbance passing through the area. Temperatures will drastically warm into the 80s to start off the workweek.
