NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) -Grab your pumpkin and your paddles for the Quarantine Pumpkin Paddle on Saturday, Oct. 3.

The annual tank race is a fundraiser hosted by the Nebraska Sports Commission.

Eight teams will have the opportunity to dress up in costumes, decorate their tanks and race down the Platte River from Buffalo Bill State Recreation Area to Cody Park.

With October, being full of pumpkin activities, there has been an additional competition added to the event. At the end of the race, each team will be responsible for decorating a pumpkin with a mystery bag of materials.

Awards will be given for the best decorated tank/costume, best decorated pumpkin and fastest race time.

After the event, the Dusty Trails Pumpkin Fest will be open for the public. Tickets are $12 per person.
