NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The first Saturday in October marks the beginning of Dusty’s Pumpkin Fest at the Cody’s. The event has grown over the last few years and this one stands to be the best one yet. Dusty added a variety of attractions this year, while preserving the honor of the location.

“You know that’s one of the best things we have going for us here is the background, the backdrop that we get to be right here on Buffalo Bill Ranch. This is home of Buffalo Bill who did the wild west show and everything in his day," said Dusty Barner.

In a way, Dusty is doing his own show on Saturdays and Sundays this October. The attractions are open from noon until six and admission costs $12 per person. Dusty has made it his goal to provide something for all ages

“We got lots going on out here, we try to cover all our bases. We got the little kids all the way through adults, we even added some shopping for the adult and older people.”

Some activities include a petting zoo, massive slide, horseback riding, and concessions are available for sale. The first day had a good turnout and Dusty is just happy to be serving the community with his passion.

“That’s what its all about you can watch me running around I’m smiling as big as any of the kids, I’m having as much fun as anyone else out here."
