RDAP host dine out event for Domestic Violence Awareness month
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Rape/Domestic Abuse Program (RDAP) in North Platte hosted a dine out to bring awareness to domestic violence and help survivors in the area.
On October 8th, RDAP partnered with Arby’s for an event where a percentage of the proceeds would go towards helping survivors and displaced families of domestic violence.
The Rape/Domestic Abuse Program is a resource for survivors and members of the community. Events like this shed light on the topic of domestic violence and how the community can help those in need.
Vanessa Tapia, the manager of Arby’s said, “Don’t be afraid. Try to be strong and take that step. Reach out to someone you know because that can save a life or save that person."
RDAP will be hosting more events during the month of October.
