Ribbon cutting for longstanding North Platte business
Alive Outside undergoes transition in ownership
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Alive Outside, a well-known cycling and fitness store in the community had a ribbon cutting ceremony today. New ownership took over the shop last November. The three new owners have been friends since high school and share a passion for the fitness industry. Store manager Rynae Sydow told us the transition between ownership has been seamless thanks to the support from the community.
“That’s one thing also taking it over from the previous owners, you have that crowd that’s still coming in. And then we have a lot of people coming from out of town, we’ve even had people come from Kearney... they [the community] support us, we support them so it works.”
The business has been a staple of the community for over thirty years. Alive Outside was first founded in 1980 and has now undergone a location change and new management. The new owners plan to keep doing what made the business successful while also expanding into new categories of fitness.
