A Cold Night and Day Ahead
Mixed precipitation/ snow flurries could be seen in North Platte
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Saturday was a beautiful start to the weekend... but Sunday will be taking a drastic temperature change. A very strong cold front will make its way through the state Saturday night. This will knock us down about 20-25 degrees temperature-wise on Sunday. In addition to temperatures cooling off, snow could definitely be seen Saturday night into early Sunday morning. The models are not lining up perfectly... so it looks like we could see anywhere between 0.1- 0.4 inches of snowfall.
Sunday, you may want to stay inside with a mug of hot chocolate snuggled up on the couch as temperatures will drastically cool. Here’s a look ahead at the snowfall potential for Saturday night into Sunday morning. None of the models are lining up exactly... but here are the two best models.
Temperatures will quickly warm back up into the upper 50s to start off our workweek on Monday. Although the morning hours will be below freezing. Tuesday will continue this trend of warmer temperatures back in the mid-60s with mostly sunny skies. Much of the workweek will consist of temperatures staying in the 60s with mostly sunny skies.
