Lincoln County Commissioners discuss COVID-19 plan for employees
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) -On Nov. 9, the Lincoln County commissioners discussed a plan for leave of absence for COVID-19 related instances for Lincoln County employees. This discussion came as cases in the county continue to climb.
“If a person does need to be home or isolated, they don’t have to worry about not being paid and or losing vacation time,” said Commissioner District #1 Joseph Hewgley.
Back in March, the Lincoln county commissioners found solutions for employees who may have to quarantine or take care of a loved one who has been exposed to COVID-19. The unforeseen continuance of the health pandemic reignited the initial plans in place.
In addition to the COVID-19 plan for employees, the commissioners considered adding areas for items such as personal protective equipment and sanitizing stations throughout the courthouse.
The commissioners encourage mask-wearing when attending the courthouse for the safety of the employees and other visitors.
