One man arrested, one man wanted for North Platte shooting

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The North Platte Police Department have arrested a man in connection with a North Platte shooting. Another man is wanted for shooting a 33-year-old man.
Lincoln County Court records show the victim explained to officers with the North Platte Police Department during an interview at Great Plains Health, that his speen was removed along with parts of his colon and small intestine as a result of the gunshot.
The victim of the shooting told investigators he owed money to Courtney “Pete” Hansen. He explained that on the evening of the shooting, Hansen and Nathaneal Anthony (both conviceted felons) picked up the victim, with Hanson driving and Anthony in the front passenger seat. A conversation about the money occurred in the vehicle, and the victim said he told Anthony and Hansen he did not have the money but he could get it. According to court records the victim was shot by Anthony. He was told by Anthony to “Get out,” and “you better have the money next time.”
The victim got out of the vehicle and went to another car in the parking lot where there was a female in the car whom the victim told he was shot.
41-year-old Cortney Hansen was arrested after a warrant was issued on November 10. Hansen was charged with Aiding and Abetting-1st Degree Assault, in regards to the shooting. Hansen appeared in Lincoln County Court November 13 for his arraignment. Bail is set at $250,000.00, ten percent.
The North Platte Police Department is searching for 48-year-old Nathaneal Anthony, for his involvement in the shooting. An arrest warrant has also been issued. Anthony is wanted for 1st Degree Assault, Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.

On November 7, at 12:07 a.m., officers with the North Platte Police Department, along with the North Platte Fire Department, were dispatched to the east side of the Platte River Mall, for a male subject that was involved in a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The male victim was transported to Great Plains Health by the North Platte Fire Department.
