NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) -North Platte High School is hosting their mobile food pantry to help feed those in need.

Before COVID-19, members of the community were able to come to the high school in person and pick any food items they need. Due to the virus, the North Platte public school district switched to a curb-side format to serve the community.

On every second Tuesday in each month, people in need of feed can go to the North Platte High School for the mobile pantry and have non-perishable food loaded directly into their cars.

There is no criteria for receiving assistance from the pantry.

“Anyone in need we try to find them,” said Jaylee Shaner from North Platte Public Schools. “That’s honestly the hardest part is finding who need helps and willing to accept the help.”
