NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Two moms seeing a need in the community. How they took an idea and made it a reality for North Platte. But now they ask for community support to make it happen. They are working with playgrounds by leathers to create a new playground through Community Build at Centennial Park.

They have announced their plans for what the playground will look like. Kids drew their dream playground for submission and a community survey for adults to fill out. Organizers ask the community to volunteer or contribute funds as they fund raise.

“We want the community to be invested in this whole process. This is going to be a great celebration of our history of North Platte and also just the people here now. We want everyone to be involved and really have something they can take pride in,” said Co-Coordinators for Community Build Playground, Emily Wurl and Tauni Morris.
