New City Council is sworn in
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - North Platte’s new City Council members were sworn in at City Council and before his departure, heartfelt goodbye from Mayor Dwight Livingston. Leaders were applauded as they stepped down to bring in our new recently elected council members. Each member swore in and took their place at the table. Before his exit, Mayor Dwight Livingston thanked everyone for his time as Mayor and the work they have done together. Members briefly reflected on their time spent, and had good laughs together.
“I’ve been blessed beyond belief. This community is the most amazing city in the state of Nebraska and I suspect that that’s not going to change since I’m not going to be here. You’re all in good hands. I appreciate your willingness to support North Platte and the commitment you will enhance in the future. On behalf of myself thank you,” said Livingston.
Brandon Kelliher sanitized and shook everyone’s hand as they prepared for their first meeting as a new council.
