NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - This week’s Friday Night Sports Hero is Jeremy Larson. Larson is a Brady wrestler who has had a very successful high school career. He finished as the State Finalist last year and hopes to win a State Title this year. Larson has been wrestling as long as he can remember and would have it no other way.

“I started wrestling when I was three. My dad’s been teaching me quite a bit and I’ve loved wrestling since I was little, it’s just been my sport,” said Larson.

Brady Wrestling Head Coach Bobby Cahill is very grateful to have Jeremy on the team as he tries to build the wrestling program at Brady.

“It’s great for me, it makes my job a little bit easier. Jeremy comes and I have kids that automatically want to be on his level and they start working harder and they start listening a little bit better to try and do things the way Jeremy does,” said Cahill.

Jeremy hasn’t lost a contest yet this year. His practice partner Triston Stearns offers some insight into what makes Jeremy such an elite wrestler.

“He is very strong, he has a lot of technique too. Unmatched technique, said Stearns.”

Larson will look to continue utilizing that combination of strength and technique in his pursuit of becoming a State Champion.
