Maywood-Hayes Center makes strong debut in Brady tournament
The Wolves girl’s and boy’s teams both won today to advance to the championship games
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Maywood-Hayes Center made their debut in the Brady Holiday basketball tournament today. The girl’s team beat Hitchcock County 56-21 and the boy’s team won a close one, 36-34. Anselmo-Merna also picked up two wins on the day. The Coyote girls beat Brady 67-23 and the boys won 62-53.
Maywood-Hayes Center and Anselmo-Merna will square off in both championship games while Brady and Hitchcock County will duel it out in the consolation bracket.
The Greg Miller Memorial Holiday Basketball Tournament will also get underway this week in Hershey. Tournament play will begin on Wednesday, December 30. Start times can be found below:
Girl’s Games:
1. Gothenburg v. Gering @ 2:00 PM
2. Hershey v. Lawrence-Nelson @ 5:00 PM
Boy’s Games:
1. Gothenburg v. Gering @ 3:30 PM
2. Hershey v. Lawrence-Nelson @ 6:30 PM
All games will be played in Hershey.
