Hershey sweeps first day of Greg Miller Memorial Tournament

The Panther’s girl’s and boy’s teams both picked up wins today

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Greg Miller Memorial Holiday Tournament tipped off today. Initially scheduled to begin yesterday, the heavy snowfall postponed play to today. Hershey’s teams won both of their games. The girls beat Lawrence Nelson 62-20 and the boys won 52-42.

Gering also notched a pair of wins over Gothenburg. The Lady Bulldogs won 55-50 and the boys won 58-48. Hershey and Gering will face off in the championship games tomorrow afternoon.

The second day of the Brady Holiday Tournament also took place today. Results can be found below:

Girl’s Championship Game: Anselmo-Merna d. Maywood-Hayes Center 46-37.

Girl’s Consolation Game: Hitchcock County d. Brady 34-28.

Boy’s Championship Game: Maywood-Hayes Center d. Anselmo-Merna 52-47.

Boy’s Consolation Game: Hitchcock County d. Brady 74-29.

North Platte’s basketball teams were also in action today at the Beatrice Holiday Tournament.

The Lady Bulldogs lost to Beatrice 28-41 and the boy’s team lost 37-49.

Both North Platte squads will take on Platteview High School tomorrow.
