GOTHENBURG, Neb. (KNOP) - The Gothenburg Chamber of Commerce and the Sun Theatre are teaming up for a Power Lunch, a monthly program designed to inspire, educate and motivate.

The sessions will be held the second Wednesday of every month during the lunch hour at the theatre and are free to the public.

“There will be a wide variety of topics, kind of like a Ted-style talk, where the speaker will have about 20-25 minutes to make a presentation on his or her topic,” said Gothenburg Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Deb Egenberger. “We may or may not have some audience interaction, it just depends what the topic is.”

Sabin Motor Company Owner Sean Sabin will kick off the series with his presentation: “Bankrupt to Breakthrough: A Story of Personal and Professional Growth.”

“Bankruptcy financially is something that I had to experience and go through in 2015,” Sabin said. “So it’s a little bit about financial bankruptcy, but even more so about overcoming the mental, physical and emotional aspect of it. Especially in years where there is a pandemic or quarantine, your mindset can be affected on a high level and you can become emotionally drained and emotionally bankrupt.”

The presentation will also be offered virtually. Lunch will be provided by Hogz Brew at no cost. To reserve lunch or request the virtual link, contact the chamber at 308-537-3505 by January 8.
