Child advocacy plans
A great start to 2021
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Bridge of Hope and Guardians of the Children have big plans for the new year.
Guardians of the Children has a couple of events already planned for the year. One of which is right around the corner. On Feb. 6th the seventh annual chili cook-off will be held at the D & N Event Center. All registration costs will be donated to the Guardians of the Children organization. In April, their annual Child Abuse Awareness and Appreciation Day will be held. President of the Flat rock Chapter of Guardians of the Children explains what this day will be filled with.
More events will be held throughout the year but they are not set in stone yet. Stay tuned for updates to the KNOP website for future events.
Bridge of Hope receives a total of $10,000 in donations during December. These funds will help the organization in many ways. For example, now they can provide children and families with all the mental health guidance they need.
Bridge of Hope looks forward to many things in 2021.
Items such as toiletries, food, journals, and more were donated. Thanks to these donations the organization can now give every kid a journal to write in which will be a new activity in 2021.
With many non-profits around town like these two and the community being so generous, child advocacy is off to a great start in 2021. To help Bridge of Hope you can find them on Facebook as Bridge of Hope and online at bridgeofhopecac.com.
