Unseasonably warm through mid-week
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - We are in for a very nice treat Monday through Wednesday as temperatures will warm through the 50s into the 60s by Wednesday. We will have sunny to mostly sunny skies with a mild and dry westerly wind through mid-week. We will also remain in our dry pattern until then.
The high temperatures through mid-week being in the 50s and 60s will be well above our average highs near 40. From Central and Western NE and north to the Canada border through the Northern Plains, highs will be 15-25 degrees above average, and 5-15 degrees above average to our south.
A low will move to our north, and its cold front will move through early Thursday. We will get a breezy NW wind and more clouds, with a lot cooler temperatures to finish the workweek, as highs will be in the lower 40s for most. We will also miss another snow maker. The system will give snow to the Mountians west of us and the Northern Plains and the Great Lakes states, with some areas picking up light to moderate amounts.
For the weekend, we will have mostly cloudy skies turn mostly sunny Saturday into Sunday, as highs will remain in the low- to mid-40s. We will continue to be on the dry side with no moisture expected.
